(October 13, 2005) The AES has started and industry wide charity effort to collect funds for audio professionals whose lives have been adversely affected by the recent disasters in the Gulf Coast. I hope that PAMA members will support this AES KARES relief effort. PAMA will be making a $1,000 donation to the fund. Please consider making your own donation.

Please donate directly to AES-KAREs and let PAMA know that extent of your generosity so we can let AES know where donations have come from. Other associations have similar programs but this one seems the most timely for those professional in need.

Donations can be made via the AES-KARE’s website at: www.aes.org/info/aes-kares, A KARE committee is being established to collect applications for assistance and to dispurse these funds to affected audio professionals.
